The Muscatel Middle School Builders Club in Rosemead, California, U.S., celebrated Builders Club Week with enthusiasm and creativity, following the official daily themes to highlight its community impact and Kiwanis family connections.
For Monday’s “Show your Builders Club Pride” theme, students were allowed to wear club shirts instead of school uniforms. At a lunchtime booth featuring a scrapbook of the club’s accomplishments, they encouraged other students to learn more about Builders Club.
Tuesday’s “Kudos to the Helpers” recognized the contributions of supporting organizations and individuals. During morning announcements, the club thanked teachers and partners such as the Rosemead Kiwanis Club and Rosemead High School Key Club, emphasizing their roles in service projects. Then they spent the rest of the week spreading kindness — and using Friday in particular to highlight the bridge to high school service by promoting the connection between Builders Club and Key Club.
Throughout the week, the club also made daily announcements tied to the themes, hosted trivia games and promoted the Builders Club mission.
The Builders Club collaborates throughout the year with the Kiwanis club and Key Club on citywide events. A standout is the Rosemead City Easter event, where Builders Club members sponsor face painting while Key Club members manage activities such as the bounce house area.
With these efforts, the Muscatel Middle School Builders Club showcases the spirit of service and strengthens its ties within the Kiwanis family and the broader community.
